Chewy Candy

The first modern Japanese chewy candy, Hi-Chew , was created in 1956 as an alternative to chewing gum – in Japan, taking food out of one’s mouth is largely taboo. Unlike gum, chewy candies from Japan have a rubbery texture that softens and melts in the mouth the longer you chew. Follow Japanese customs by gnawing on these tasty treats!
