Fujiya Country Maam Kumamon Japanese Cookies

Japanese cookies were influenced by their western counterparts called "koekje" or little cakes. These treats were initially meant to test oven heat before baking. By 1887, a Yokohama bakeshop owner created a localized version named "Hato Sabure" which are dove-shaped Japanese butter cookies. Throughout history, these tasty cookies from Japan greatly evolved!
