Nobel Umeboshi No Taneame Plum Candy

The Japanese sure love their sour candies! These hard candies are flavored with pickled plum, a fruit known as umeboshi in Japan. Umeboshi means "salt plum", and it combines extremely salty and sour flavors. In the old times, umeboshi was the only candy they had in Japan. The candies are individually wrapped in fine paper like wraps and are easy to carry with you. Eat them during the day or offer them to your friends and watch their reactions!

This is the perfect hard plum candy that is super salty and sour. I always order 10 bags everytime and have them in stock. I just love them so much! They also last so long. (Posted on 10/2/2021)

My mother would eat umeboshi when I was a kid. I always hated them! I got these thinking I might like a hard candy version & for the nostalgia factor, but they are just so salty and sour. No sweet! They are exactly what they should be, but they're just not for me. (Posted on 11/7/2020)
